STEPHAN'S SIX - CHRISTOPHER BIGGINS

Christopher Biggins has had an eclectic career, from Porridge to Poldark, Rentaghost to Surprise Surprise and even I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here. He is now best known for playing Panto Dame every Christmas, the only one he missed was when he was in the jungle, but people forget that he trained as a classical actor and his credits are impressive. However, his infectious laugh and larger than life personality make him the ideal "celebrity" and I was interested to see what he would reveal during "Stephan's Six".

What is the first smell that you can remember?
Well my first memory is Lily Of The Valley. It was what my grandmother used to wear, and the smell of it makes me feel like a child again. There is something so innocent and clean about the smell.

What perfume do you remember your mum or dad wearing?
Well I have to say that it was Brut, and I remember it being a really horrible smell. I tried it on myself and it really reacted badly with my skin so I never used it again. Henry Cooper used to advertise it, "Splash it all over". It was a very "unfortunate" perfume.

What was the perfume of your twenties?
It was Colonia by Aqua di Parma. It was so popular at the time and all of us had it at Bristol Old Vic. I suppose we all smelt the same, rather fragrant.

What was your biggest perfume mistake?
Again it was Brut. I remember pinching some from my father and overdoing it so much that I didn't go out that night. I couldn't bear to go out. It was so horrible but I couldn't face having another shower!

You can only choose one perfume, what would it be?
Well, I absolutely love Jo Malone, and I use Wood Sage & Sea Salt. It's absolutely fantastic, I love it. It's a very clean, masculine smell and I always get comments when I wear it, especially from women. I think the company are a great creator of smells.

What perfume should I try?
Well, I tell you the perfumes which I used to love, all of the Penhaligon's range. I think they're sophisticated and very chic. A great friend of mine called Sheila Pickles used to run the company and I always used to like them. It was chic for the sake of chic, which was wonderful, and the reason that I don't get a lot anymore is that I'm never near a shop. I do buy online but the shops were always full of such beautiful things like bottles, objets d'art, just everything to do with perfume.

After winning I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here, Celebrity Masterchef and Come Dine With Me, Christopher can now be seen in the 18th series of Celebrity Big Brother.
