STEPHAN'S SIX - MATTHEW AXE

Originally from Suffolk, Matthew Axe studied Graphic Design before going on to work with companies such as Thomas Pink, John Lewis and Gieves & Hawkes. After relocating to New York he was Creative Director on Martha Stewart’s award-wining magazine, Martha Stewart Living, and regularly oversees campaigns in the beauty industry. Recently working on Jo Malone’s Basil & Neroli launch, I wondered what would he reveal about his own perfume favourites during “Stephan’s Six”.

STEPHAN'S SIX - HANUŠ WOLF

A career which included Coty, Helena Rubinstein, Guerlain and Jacques Bogart surely explains why Hanuš Wolf eventually ended up running his own perfume store. STEPHAN'S SIX - BUNNY GALORE

No-one really knows how old the ageing actress Bunny Galore is, but what we do known is that she was thrown out of the Rank Charm School for padding her bra and to a generation of young adolescents she was the girl next door. In her varied career she has appeared in film and tv, from Muffin the Mule to Hammer Horror, and is now a regular weekly performer at London's Wam Bam Club. Well known for her acerbic wit, it was with some trepidation that I dared to ask her "Stephan's Six".

STEPHAN'S SIX - LORNA McKAY

Lorna McKay is very at home in the beauty departments around the word, she helped to shape them after all! As a buyer at Harrods and QVC, advisor to Liberty and creative consultant for Liz Earle her knowledge and passion is without question. Cofounder of the Perfume Society, what would she reveal about her own habits during "Stephan's Six"?

La Maison WORTH est de retour

The House of Worth, still most famous for the fragrances Je Reviens and Dans La Nuit, has in recent years seen the lustre start to fade on this diamond in the crown of perfumery, but could it be about to shine once more? Founded by Charles Worth, an Englishman, and his business partner Otto Bobergh in 1858 on Paris' Rue de la Paix, he was to become one of the greatest names in couture fashion, but the fragrances wouldn't arrive until 1924. By this time the company was being run by Charles' grandson, Jacques Worth, and he saw the potential for a fashion house also venturing into the perfumery market
